NASA is preparing to land on an asteroid

 today we researched our current events quiz questions the question I picked was where is NASA preparing to land, it turns out that NASA is preparing to land on an asteroid. on thing I found interesting was that Bennu (the asteroid) was chosen by NASA from more than 500,000 known asteroids.

 because this week is Maori language week I made a piskel art of Maui the hardest part of making this was trying to make the necklace look like a necklace, the most fun part was making the clothes.

for calendar art, we have been making pop art movement it is really fun, we have to get a photo of ourselves and then we trace around it and paint the card with watercolors and then glue it together, I am almost finished with mine all I have to do is paint one more card and glue it all together

Maths

Today for maths we were working on different types of transformation the first one is the reflection it is when you flip a shape over its axis and it will look like there is a mirror in front of it. the second one is translation it is just when you move the shape somewhere else. third is rotation it is where if you rotate the shape up to 360 degrees the shape stays in the same position it just rotates. the last one is dilation this is where the size changes

Matariki kite

today for reading we read about how kites represent Matariki and then made a kite mine didn't fly good because it wasn't windy enough it was hard to make because I didn't have some of the stuff I needed to make it so I had to improvise

Today for maths I did rotational symmetry.

 rotational symmetry is if a shape can be put upside down and look the same it has rotational symmetry.

 this was not that hard because I have done it before.

Today for my choice board activity I did a spinning disc activity. I had to watch a video about how the spinning disc works and then I had to make my own spinning disc and take a video of the results. my one didn't work because the red and green being spun around really fast should have made yellow but it didn't.
